Here I am MC'ing a show in Laughlin, Nevada with Mark Chesnutt. The Christmas song, posted on this site, would be a great cut for him...Mark is from Texas....So "Santa Touched Down In Texas" could be a good fit!

I was actively playing with a group we call, "Cowboys and Shepherds."  We played monthly, doing mountain style worship at the Calvary Chapel, Twin Peaks Conference Center. This is at the SNBS (Sunday Night Bible Study) http://www.sundaynightbiblestudy.com. I now am in process with a new group of Cowboys and Shepherds here in Tennessee. I will be posting pictures of us shortly.

March 4th (Sons of Light) will be playing at the Los Angeles Marathon. Usually somewhere downtown near Olympic. What a blast this gig is. Waking up the LA neighbors at 7:00 am with some Sons of Light. We can play the same song for hours as the audience keeps changing. LOL!

February 27th at the Marine Room Tavern in Laguna Beach. 9:00 pm writers night with Beth Fitchet Wood as the evening host. Accompanying me on guitar will be Craig (Craigger) Albright. We will be doing some of my original country songs. Just finished a new one in January 07, with producer Marty Rifkin in Santa Monica. It came out great and I only need eight more to complete my album.

January 21st at the Carlsbad Marathon with Sons Of Light. Playing for the runners on Airport Rd. Sponsored event by Run To Win. We will also be playing in Downtown LA for the coming 2007 Marathon. Yearly event for us!

January 13th, 2007-Leading worship @ the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Twin Peaks. Dinner always @ 5 pm and worship @ 6:00 with my pickers from Cowboys & Shephers. We lead here once per month. Next one will be Feb.18th.

December 8th, 2006 @ Martini Blues in Huntington Beach/Christmas Writers Night with substituting host James Blair. Nashville style writers night with 12 different writers performing in a semicircle. The Marines will be there that night, so bring an un-wrapped toy for their Toys for Tot drive.

December 3rd, 2006 leading worship at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Twin Peaks, California. Come out for some mountain pickin' in worship!

November 10th, 2006 @ Martini Blues in Huntington Beach, Calif. This is a songwriter showcase evening with Anna Marie as host. This week I substituted for Anna Marie, as she is pregnant.

April 14th at Martini Blues in Huntington Beach. 7:30 PM. These are great songwriting evenings with several talented writers on hand. Come and hear some songs and their stories. I'll be wearing the Hat here for sure!

March 19th, 2006 LA Marathon/RunToWin sponsored event on the route in Downtown LA. Just a "riot" with several guest musicians attending 7:00 am till 12:00 pm.

February 12th at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center: Worship and special music with Dr. Branson and Mike Magavero's Mountain Bible Study. A great night of the Bible and Christian music. I'll be there with some great pickers!

Camp Pendleton Shows/Invitation Only/Call if interested

These Camp Pendleton gigs are closed concerts with some guest musicians attending to play various instruments. On occasion, we bring a guest Pastor to give a short message. At these gigs there are several different religious backgrouds in the marine recruit audience. We are not allowed to preach so much, as just sing about the Lord. All of our music is Christian and most of our songs we have written for the troops. We always have four recruits come onto the stage to sing along with us for a closing song. We also pre-print a few soldier related scriptures that we give selected recruits to read. They come forward based on who gets the song sheets (3) with our band stamp on the back. The Lord always is in control of who reads in this case. We tell the recruits to keep the small song sheet in their pocket for those days when they are out in the fields of Iraq. We are continually looking for ways to better our presentation/show, to bring the most fun, joy and impact of the Spirit of Jesus Christ to this arena. My hope is that the Sons of Light Ministry will go into the Armed Forces Entertainment arena soon. I have inquired about it and there are several areas that a group can go once approved by the DOD (Department of Defense). What a gig it would be to play on an aircraft carrier or on the soil of Iraq.
