If you would like to record one please contact me directly. Santa I Can Explain is currently held by Blue Water Publishing
Santa I Can Explain was recently picked up for two year Publishing deal by Blue Water Music located in Nashville on Music Row. I met the Creative Director from Blue Water while at Tootsies in Nashville. I was sitting at the bar with my brother in law and I just struck up a converstion with him (Pablo Ahogado). I asked, "So, what do you do?" He told me and then I asked if I could get his card? He said, "Sure, why not." I explained that I would possible ask to send him a few songs in about a year or so, once I recorded them somewhere in town. I had just moved here to TN and was planning on recording three songs. 1 year later, I recorded them and sent him a note/e/mail. He said it was OK to mail an MP3. I did and two days later they called wanting Santa I Can Explain. Listen to the tracks sung by Devin Belle. The studio I used recommended her and she was the perfect fit. Now they have the song and my hopes are they get a big name to cut the song this 2011 Christmas year. We'll see! You be the judge. So far it's the Cinderella Story. Move to Nashville/Meet a Publisher at a Nashville bar/Send them a Song/Get a Deal-----Now I just need a CUT.
I wrote this song after seeing snow on Music Row in Nashville. Some think music row must be some big area, with fancy music or business buildings. It's not. It's just two streets really. The streets are through a neighborhood up 16th and then down 17th Avenue. It's actually hard to say if it's not up 17th down 16th. They both kinda run up and down in either direction. The two one way streets have old style houses on either side of the street. Front yards hold signs for the various Record Labels or Publishers. Sure there are a few big music buildings like BMI or ASCAP, but most are just homes converted into music related businesses. Let It Snow On The Row was sung by Mike Kelley. He's a well know artist in Nashville and a popular studio demo singer. I think this would be a great song for a local Nashville Artist. I am currently shopping it!
This is a wonderful Christmas original. Santa, the sleigh, the reindeer, Ho, Ho, Ho, 8 white horses, a cowboy, Texas, being blue and magic dust, they all make for a perfect Christmas country song. Thanks for reading and listening. I also have completed, a made for TV/Movie script titled the same. This was a scirpt written with a Nashville cast in mind. It's very Texas, very Christmas and the only time a cowboy has ever met Santa in a story/script. Song is copyrighted and script is registered with the WGA (Writers Guild of America) in LA/Hollywood.

Every city in California seems to be Santa this or Santa that! Therefore he must live here in California on the off season. Hey, I was raised here in California, so what do you expect from a California writer? I love writing Christmas songs and have many. This would be a sure win for Gary Allen, if he heard it. He's from Huntington Beach and would love it, as Huntington is mentioned in the song. I'm originally from near the Santa Maria area....so hats off to Nipomo, Santa Maria & Arroyo Grande, Ca.
